#Pandas4GlobalGoals Road Trip
We took our Panda Ambassadors on a road trip around the world educating people about the Global Goals, one sight at a time. Wondering where the pandas ended up? Check out their travel log!
Goal 17 — Partnerships For The Goals
First stop — the United Nations Headquarters in New York City — the exact spot where world leaders came together last year to welcome the 17 Global Goals, and committed to ending extreme poverty by 2030. The UN plays a major role in ensuring all countries work together to make our world a better place. Goal 17 strengthens partnerships around the world to drive this exciting, new sustainable development agenda.

Goal 16 — Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions
Spotted: #Pandas4GlobalGoals at one of Berlin’s most iconic landmarks and symbol of peace — the Brandenburg Gate. Conflict has a dramatic effect on development and can undo years of hard work. That’s why Goal 16 will identify and address the drivers of conflict, stop violence and make sure everybody can live a safe and happy life.

Goal 15 — Life On Land
In Montreal, our panda is relaxing in the green. Just like pandas, humans depend on earth. Plant life provides 80% of our human diet and forests are not only home to millions of species, but also an important source for clean air and freshwater. Goal 15 helps protect our precious planet — and ourselves.

Goal 14 — Life Below Water
Our panda enjoying a day at one of Australia’s prime beaches. More than 3 billion people worldwide depend on oceans and seas for their livelihoods. To keep our oceans and every living creature within it healthy, we have to manage this vital resource carefully. Goal 14 sets specific targets to make this happen.

Goal 13 — Climate Action
In Italy, our panda is exploring the Tyrolean glaciers. Global warming is already causing changes to our climate system. Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, and more droughts, floods, earthquakes and tsunamis are striking countries and destroying millions of lives. Limiting the increase in global temperature to 2 degrees Celsius is essential. Goal 13 urges everyone to act immediately to combat the ongoing threat of climate change.

Goal 12 — Responsible Consumption & Production
Our panda has arrived in China and is visiting the country’s biggest metropolis, Shanghai. Millions of people live and work here. Goal 12 will ensure that everyone, including businesses, make smart decisions when buying and selling goods. That way we can reduce pollution and live in a more sustainable way.

Goal 11 — Sustainable Cities & Communities
#Pandas4GlobalGoals heads further south, to Ecuador. In April 2016, the country was hit by a massive earthquake, destroying thousands of lives. Goal 11 helps prepare cities all over the world for disasters like this, ensuring housing are safe, accessible and affordable.

Goal 10 — Reduced Inequalities
Panda Ambassador posing on Brooklyn Bridge. Brooklyn USA is a multicultural hub, bringing in people from all kinds of countries, cultures, and faiths. Goal 10 will guarantee that everyone has equal rights — no matter their location, religion or gender.

Goal 9 — Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure
In London, our panda is taking the Tube. With over half the world’s population living in cities, mass transport and renewable energy are becoming more and more important. That’s why Goal 9 focuses on making infrastructure safer, and encourages innovative solutions to global challenges.

Goal 8 — Decent Work & Economic Growth
#Pandas4GlobalGoals spending the day in beautiful Bangkok. Tourism is a major contributor to the Thai economy, but also to the global economy. Achieving Goal 8 will increase economic growth and provide decent jobs for everyone.

Goal 7 — Affordable & Clean Energy
Our panda taking a sailing trip around Manhattan. Big cities like New York City consume huge amounts of energy. Using renewables like wind and solar energy is crucial to achieve Goal 7, making clean energy available and affordable for all — from big cities, to the most remote villages.

Goal 6 — Clean Water & Sanitation
Our panda takes a stroll by the water near Sydney Harbour Bridge. More than 40% of people around the world are affected by water scarcity. Goal 6 will provide people all over the world with safe drinking water, reducing the spread of disease and keeping everyone clean and healthy.

Goal 5 — Gender Equality
Looks like our panda made a new lady friend in the streets of New York! Goal 5’s vision is that everyone is treated the same — regardless of gender. Our #Pandas4GlobalGoals is certainly listening to what this female Zubat has to say.

Goal 4 — Quality Education
Our #Pandas4GlobalGoals is not the only one curious to learn more about the world. Education is one of the most powerful drivers for sustainable development. That is why Goal 4 will help everyone worldwide receive a quality education.

Goal 3 — Good Health And Well-Being
Our #Pandas4GlobalGoals is in top shape. Unfortunately that’s not the case for everyone around the world. Millions of people still die of preventable diseases just because they don’t have access the right treatment. Goal 3 will ensure everyone around the world can be happy and healthy.

Goal 2 — Zero Hunger
Bonjour from Paris! #Pandas4GlobalGoals checking out the Eiffel Tower and probably enjoying a croissant or two. But not everyone is as lucky. Globally, 795 million people are undernourished. Goal 2 can make more food and less hunger a reality for everyone, regardless of where they live.

Goal 1 — No Poverty
Our Panda Ambassador has arrived on the beach in Florida to enjoy a sunny vacation. Meanwhile, millions of people around the world are struggle to access the most basic human needs. Goal 1 will end poverty, once and for all.

Now — Let’s get things moving and make these 17 ambitious goals a reality!
