My mother is Alma Leticia Mendoza E. — she is a person who I admire immensely. My mother is originally from Chihuahua, México. She has always encouraged and supported me in anything that I aspire and has helped me become the strong woman I am today.

From my mother I’ve learned that everything is possible, and that everything will turn out how you want it to as long as you place your all into it. She has taught me that no matter what happens I have to continue fighting and be genuine and respectful in the process.

Thanks to my mother, now I am a fierce, courageous, brown woman like her who does not take no for an answer and will do anything for her family to be safe. My mother’s courage and love have defined my upbringing, and this is why I want the world to know that this is my strong, fierce, loving, honest, genuine, and hardworking
