Do you have a favorite coffee? ☕

“Before Memories Fade” is the third volume in the series Before Coffee Cools Off by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. I admit that I was a tad apprehensive at first. Here we change the location of the plot and move from Funicula Funicula coffee shop to Donna Donna. However, now I think this change worked out well and was very refreshing.

The scheme we have is the same after the previous volumes — in simple terms — you can move back in time, but it still won’t change anything in the present, and you have to go back before the coffee gets cold.

Is there even a point in reading a third book about the same thing?
There is!
Because literature is all about emotions, and Kawaguchi’s work really delivers a lot of them!

Here we have the stories of four different coffee shop customers. Each one different. Unique. Moving.
Tears, sadness, nostalgia, but also hope. For me, the author’s work is an emotional rollercoaster.
Kawaguchi makes you reflect and think about
about one’s life and what if the end of the world were to happen tomorrow.

Although I liked this part a tad less than the previous ones I think it is definitely worth reading. I for one am eager to read the next volume.
