The Global Migration Film Festival kicked off on 5 December, sharing the lives of people on the move. From New York to Geneva, from the urban bustle in Manila to the Sahara, in repleted halls or makeshift cinemas, the #MigFest brings the struggles and successes of migrants under the spotlight.
With close to one hundred screenings in just two days, the festival is truly a global event, aiming to spark debate about migrants’ role, in today’s multicultural societies.
