Update on UNTOLD Story’s Development and Growth

UNTOLD Story (UTS) has been in business for twoyear. Woo woo!
We have survived defection, restructuring, and exhaustion to finally be standing on solid ground. Committed to the purpose for which this company was established — creating quality content, and building an independent network to show the content of community and emerging content producers.

Since April 2017, we have been engaged in the production of content for public access television (PATV) first at Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN), then with Brooklyn Free Speech at BRIC Arts Media. UNTOLD Story has been engaged with producing content for community organizations like the Sickle Cell Thalassemia Patients Network (SCTPN), Brooklyn Mobile Tour, Fallen Angels Sickle Cell Foundation, and supporting the productions of other Community Producers including: Q’s Lost & Found, producer of Let’s Talk With Mike and THE SYSTEM; Kevin Lawrence’s Kev’s Show, Lawman Lynch’s Slick, Marco Scozzaro’s Digital Deli, and others.

On set in Studio B at Brooklyn Free Speech (BFS/BRIC).

As certified studio and field produces #BrooklynFreeSpeech (BFS/BRIC), UNTOLD Story has made a strong commitment to supported and collaborated with other community producers to strengthen the overall efforts to create quality programming for public viewing.

The past year has helped us to better understand the needs of community producers and how to best support our overall effort to create content for PAT.

Aside from production management, UTS is now engaged in business development and marketing communications services with a few producers. We provide Funding Development services such as coordinating crowdfunding campaigns and sponsorship development. Our Marketing Communications services are tailored to complement fundraising drives and provide promotions for local business who sponsor client productions.

Collaborating with other independent producers is a win-win situation. Our writing, planning, and production skills are getting stronger. What’s better is the confidence level of our staff and interns are increasing. Most of our interns are super critical of their work. We are constantly telling them that their work is really good and that they are well on their way to becoming successful filmmakers, documentarians, editors, audio engineers and screenwriters.

The UNTOLD Story production of At This Point: A Conversation, will be produced as a special for BFS HD-TV, rather than a weekly, half-hour talk show. UTS’ COO David Alexis will host At This Point. The first episode — Mindset with guest Eugena Griffin, Ph.D. will air this fall.

With production of content in full swing, our attention to developing the UNTOLD Story Network (Internet Protocol-TV — IPTV) has been put on hold. More information on the UNTOLD Story Network will be shared later in the fall. We are planning to launch a crowdfunding campaign in September to support the continued development and sustainability of the company.
