Students Network with Leadership, Learn About Startup Ecosystem This Week

Austin and UT offer a whole ecosystem of startup resources — come orient yourself at the free student launch event on Sept. 5.

First, attendees will hear about innovation centers and campus resources, followed by a deep dive into Texas’ entrepreneurial landscape.

Mellie Price of Capital Factory and Ashley Jennings of McCombs School of Business will kick off speaking at 5 p.m.

“This is a chance for all UT students to get a glimpse into Austin’s thriving startup ecosystem,” said Ashley Jennings, Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship program manager. “Everyone from student orgs focused on entrepreneurship, investors, co-working spaces and accelerators. It’s an incredible resource for students to get plugged in.”

The next two hours include a trade show with more than 30 community and campus organizations. This is a great opportunity to meet UT entrepreneurship organizations, fellow startups, co-working spaces, accelerators and investor firms, including:
