Hi, Guillaume, this is an interesting question.
Actually, when I started to do Design Sprints, the only book out there was the O’Reilly’s. Fresh Tilled Soil were indeed making a first round of discussion after the Crazy 8’s exercise. I’ve used this technique for many Sprints but I’ve noticed that some ideas were already starting to converge during the Solution Sketches. (Basically, participants were stealing each-other ideas ^ ^)
I guess the GV approach in the Sprint book, is leaner and stronger:
Just don’t discuss anything before Wednesday morning (after Art museum).
The diversity of ideas will be wider. Also, ending Tuesday’s sketching with a “cliffhanger” (no one knows what others have created) creates excitation among the team and the revelation is the best start for Wednesday.
