So How did I Get Into UX Design?
My background largely consists of peripheral roles around development and design in the marketing and software industry such as account executive, client success manager, and project management roles. My initial interest in UX design came about when I was tasked with managing the creation of an online store for Under Armour’s China while living in Shanghai. At the time, I knew next to nothing about UX or web development, but quickly figured out that usability differed greatly based on where you are from and what kinds of interfaces you are accustomed to using. Since then, I pivoted my career towards client facing roles that involve digital products and services, but want to go from understanding to creating in order to broaden how I can contribute to projects.
