BIOGRAPHY
Uba Michael is a former Delta state APC Governorship aspirant, from Evwreni in Ughelli North LGA of Delta Sate, Nigeria.
He is a successful businessman and currently the Chairman of UBACLE GROUP.
He is a chartered member of the Nigeria-American Chambers of Commerce (NACC) and also member of the Abuja Chambers of Commerce and industry (ACCI)
His businesses have not only created jobs but have mitigated the youth unemployment through a sustainable and gainful employment that supported other private and public sectors efforts in Nigeria.
Uba Michael is a Good governance, social and environmental advocate, as well as a renowned Philanthropist with decades of collaboration with Civil Society Organisations.
He believes in building social and peaceful environment geared towards socio-economic development and investments. He has over the years lent his voice, resources, and influence in campaigning to amplify the uncommon functions of Civil Society in the wake of a global pandemic, global warming, carbon emissions, ocean pollution, bio-degradation and loss of biodiversity, ills of oil spillage, climate change and police brutality. In addition, he has consistently highlighted the way forward by which Civil Society can better engage Government at all levels to achieve desired results in the pursuit of happiness and a better-led, better-served, and better-governed society.
Chief (Hon.) Uba A. Michael has continued to be a peace advocate and has championed the vanguard to educate our young population on how best to channel their grievances in the most civil and lawful manner as provided in our national constitution.
Uba A. Michael has worked with many social political groups to deepen and sustain the peace in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria and has consistently advocated for a rather more strategic and symbiotic relationship between IOCs and host communities to make for mutual benefits for both parties.
He has gained various professional recognitions, notably, an inductee of the Hall of Fame, Fellow of the Chattered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics, CF, PRMP, Ghana.
He is a Special Gold Awardee for outstanding and Inspirational Leadership in West Africa, as well as a Certified Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Consultants (FIMC) and also Fellow of the Chartered institute of information and strategy management(FCISM)
Uba A. Michael as a humanitarian, has actively partnered with several NGOs on skill acquisition schemes for women and youth towards financial independence as an avenue to close the poverty and inequality gap in our society.
These noble gestures have been followed by countless national and global awards and recognition, some of which include: Nelson Mandela leadership award, The Papyrus Magazine CEO Awards, MAA Awards, Global Good Governance Ambassadors Awards and Peace Achievers International Awards to mention a few.
