“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” — ‭‭James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s always a good reminder to look around and count your blessings. No matter what is going on that is bad, whenever you realize how blessed you are, you will feel more relieved about the things that aren’t going well.

Say for instance, you failed a test. Man, that stinks huh? But let’s look on the bright side. You have the opportunity to be at a university like ORU! College isn’t something everyone is blessed with! And in all likelihood, you still have a chance to make up your grade.

This shift in perspective is super important. I encourage you to take a few minutes and list just 5 things that are blessings in your life. Then in these situations, go back to that list and remind yourself that not all is lost!
