TFW You Fall Out of Love with “Like”
Leigh Alexander

I recently gave up on Facebook, which was my go-to social platform. Like you, I was mainly trying to fight that ridiculous impulse to post every thought I had throughout the day. Unlike you, though, my reasoning started with the realization that I was spending a chunk of the day reading other people’s throwaway thoughts, and while I was enjoying them, I was wasting a lot of time. Well, I started feeling like a hypocrite, and removed myself from the platform altogether.

And boy, once I fell out of love with “like,” I’ve regained control over an aspect of my life I had no idea I was missing.
