Something needs to be done to help progressives - and this is something

Aaron H. Ellis
Progressives solve problems in ways that make ordinary people’s lives better. Brexit and Trump just scapegoat problems. If we’re going to reverse the damage they’re causing, we need to learn from our biggest mistake in 2016: we need to explain to voters why what matters to us matters to them. That’s why I’m crowdfunding a podcast for progressives, and I want you to donate.
There is a widespread feeling that something needs to be done about the closed, illiberal turn our politics has taken, but the options available to us are underwhelming. When it looked like Theresa May would win a landslide, ‘Brexitopia’ seemed depressingly inevitable. The election’s surprise result has given progressives a second chance to reclaim our open, tolerant destiny, but none of the opposition parties seem to be capitalising on the opportunity. If something needs to be done, then this podcast is a start. By broadcasting a message that resonates with our listeners and explaining what they can do to make things happen, we can build a movement that returns us to where we were going before the catastrophes of 2016.
I launched this crowdfunding campaign three weeks ago. The target was £700, and we’ve already raised nearly £500. We still have some way to go, though, so please click, read, donate, and share.
