How Much Would Drogon Cost to Feed?

HBO’s iconic and much loved Game of Thrones series will officially end in 2018, with only two more seasons left before we find out who wins the battle for the Iron Throne.

There’s no doubt that GoT will be remembered as one of the all-time great television series’, captivating fans worldwide with its spectacular battles, shocking plot twists, top-notch writing and acting and those unbelievably good title sequences (not to mention all the violence and nudity, because who doesn’t love that?).

In a show full of strong and memorable characters, perhaps the most iconic is Daenerys, the Mother of Dragons. Few capture the imagination quite like a woman who commands her own personal dragons, but her ‘pets’ do raise some interesting questions… for one, how does she feed them? How much would it actually cost to raise and keep three fully grown dragons?

Fortunately, I don’t have to do the calculations associated with answering that question, as UK retailer Shade Station have done it for me, working out how much it would cost to feed Drogon, the largest of Daenerys’ dragons:
