Our favored aesthetic for interiors as well as clothing is white with natural elements. For the home this includes lots of beautiful wood & plants. And a little color keeps things interesting.

Naples, Campania, Italy. The coast of Italy is breathtaking, somewhere I didn’t make it to on my trip to Italy last year. Naples is a large city in Southern Italy near Mount Vesuvius, another destination I would love to visit!

This gorgeous labradorite copper ring is from an Etsy shop I love called MidwestAlchemy. It’s sold out but they have others that are just as gorgeous and all in the $50–70 price range!

This post breaks down how to grow your own sweet potatoes. Something I’ve been craving since being in Tunisia because I can’t find them here! And I love them so much. So be grateful the next time you make a tasty sweet potato dish, or better yet start growing them!

There’s something so inspiring about a beautiful door. It makes you wonder what could be waiting on the other side. And they make for gorgeous photos! This one was taken in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Before leaving the US I was doing so good with not eating any refined, white sugar. And then I got pregnant and my sweet tooth really came back with a vengeance. Since my go to sweeteners, coconut sugar & maple syrup aren’t available here, I try to use honey whenever I can, but sometimes have to resort to using the white stuff. I also wasn’t eating wheat before I left but can’t get gluten-free flours here so I’m back to using whole wheat and sometimes white. So I suggest to make this even healthier you could sub coconut sugar and an all purpose gluten free flour mix. Check out the link in the photo caption for the recipe. I used all whole wheat flour and I subbed cacao powder for cocoa powder and honey for the maple syrup. I also only had brown sugar so I used that instead of white. But it turned out seriously delicious. My husband loved it too and it was gone by the next evening.

I made this bracelet as a gift for a girl who gave me the little rings on the tips of my fingers. It’s a protective bracelet using carnelian which is good for deflecting other people’s anger and envy and reducing your own, garnet which is a very protective stone, it was actually carried as a protective talisman thousands of years ago, and black tourmaline which is great for dispelling negative energies and is one of my favorites because it protects from cell phones and electromagnetic smog in general.

I love these 7 affirmations to heal & balance the chakras. Even if you don’t believe in the chakra system, these are still great affirmations for anyone and can be used during your meditation practice. Check them out in the link above.

This is a great recipe for homemade deodorant! And it’s the one I personally use and have been for months with no complaints. Honestly it works better then any deodorant I’ve bought. And that’s really not an exaggeration. I don’t even use the essential oil for scent! But I may try it the next time I make a batch. I also use arrowroot powder instead of cornstarch just because corn is a food that I’m sensitive too and most people are so give it a shot.

Since I’ve been not working the whole time I’ve been pregnant and living in a foreign country where I haven’t been walking as much either, I’ve been looking for ways to stay active at home. I still do yoga daily but this quick pregnancy workout sequence is great for adding a few strength training moves to my regular yoga routine. It’s super quick so no matter how little time you have you can fit this in!

After a trip to the market and a huge amount fresh fruit I made this very delicious juice. This is more fruit then I normally would use in a juice, but I had a lot to work with. It included blackberries, cherries, strawberries, a peach, an apple, parsley, ginger root, a beet, a carrot and lots of spinach and leafy greens.

For some final inspiration check out this gorgeous dyed dress. And not only is the dress beautiful but the turquoise jewelry is stunning as well. Love the mix of blues!
