Miss Manhattan 2016 To Join Team Unspoken Smiles Foundation For The NYU Oral Cancer Walk.

Unspoken Smiles Foundation will be participating in the 2016 NYU Oral Cancer Walk. We have pledged to raise community awareness of Oral Cancer, a disease that kills over 8,000 Americans every year, and today we announcing the participation of Mackenzie Perpich as our special guest walker.

Mackenzie Perpich, Miss Manhattan 2016, is an actor/singer/dancer, fundraiser, volunteer, and eating disorder awareness advocate, who has a passion for others and service to her community.

A southern belle born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Mackenzie studied two years at The University of Alabama before relocating to New York City to finish her college degree and pursuit her Broadway dreams. She is recent graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in Theatre Performance. Mackenzie has a love for service, which is shown through her work and experience by creating the initiative Hope, Health, and Healing for Eating Disorders, which is designed to address certain topics associated with eating disorders; awareness and prevention through healthy lifestyle choices. She uses the three H’s (Hope, Health, and Healing) to inform our next generation on how they can seek help, prevent, and recover an eating disorder.

The walk will take place on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. and be held at NYU College of Dentistry (345 E24th Street). Our personal goal is to raise $200 for the walk!

100% of every dollar we raise will go directly to The NYU Oral Cancer Center whose clinical research focuses on early oral cancer detection, clinical applications of research and pain management.

We invite you to join our team, (Unspoken Smiles Foundation) by registering to walk. If you can’t join us, please consider sponsoring us for this very important event.
