2016 Can Wait

Because some things are still bigger than basketball.

Following the tragedy at Oklahoma State’s homecoming over the weekend, a few Thunder players were in the community on Monday afternoon going the extra mile. Gestures as such are nothing new for the organization, but the impact they have on Oklahomans is immeasurable.

As we enter this “Now or never” season before Kevin Durant’s summer of 2016, it’s great to be reminded the human side of these players is what matters most. The season starts in two days and the biggest Thunder headline in Oklahoma tonight has nothing to do with basketball.

That’s something special.

A simple little reminder before Wednesday night that we’re fortunate to cheer for a great group of basketball players — but very fortunate to cheer for a group of great men.

Thunder Up.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
