Sometimes it’s more entertaining when you don’t understand

One of the best parts about running Up The Thunder is the unique opportunity to connect with Thunder fans all over the world. Sports is one of those things that has an ability to bring people closer together — and we’ve taken advantage of that while meeting/interacting with people from all walks of life. It’s a blessing.

When we started the account a couple years ago, one of the first people that followed us/we followed back goes by the name of @7A_NBA. To date, I can’t say I’ve ever seen a tweet from this account in English — but that’s become the best part. Whoever this person is, they have an uncanny ability to sketch hilarious pictures of Russell Westbrook & Kevin Durant’s relationship. I’ve spent hours marveling at these….even though the captions and tweets are 100% in Japanese.

As you’ll see, in most of the photos KD is the Mom/Dad, while Russ is the son/child. There was also a period of time where Russ was a cat, but without context, we weren’t exactly sure what was going on with that. Nonetheless, I wanted to share a few of my favorite drawings and strongly suggest you give this account a follow. You may not be able to read Japanese, but the images speak for themselves.
