Here in the search dialog box, you should write the keyword: Command Prompt without the quotes. After this, you should right hit on the Command Prompt icon. Here, from the menu you should left tap on Run as Administrator option. Then in the black window, you should type the command:
sfc /scannow
After this, you should hit on Enter button in keyboard. This process will take 10 minutes to finish the procedure but after this, in the command prompt window, you have to write:
Exit
And then hit on Enter key. Now, you have to Reboot your Windows 8.1 operating system. At last, you should check your Mail app is working or not.
- Run Windows App Troubleshooter:
The customer should click on the link to download the Windows App Troubleshooter. It will open a window where you have to left tap on the Save File option. Now, you should left-hit on the OK button. Here, the download procedure will begin and it takes up to 10 minutes. When the download procedure will complete, then navigate to the directory where the user have downloaded the file. At this point, you should double hit on the Troubleshooter executable app. Then, you need to follow the on screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting procedure. At last, you should Reboot your operating system and then check if your Mail app is still having issues.
- Use Update & Recovery Option:
You should go to lower right side of the screen and then from the menu you should left hit on the Settings option. Now from the Settings sub menu, you should left hit on the Change PC settings feature. Then, you have to left hit on the Update and Recovery option. After this, you should tap on the Check now button which is there in the Update and Recovery page. At this point, it will tell you which updates are available for you. When you select the required updates, then left hit on the Install Now button. Next, the license term page will pop up on your screen and just read it and accept the agreement to move further with the updates. Here, you need to left hit on the Finish button. - Turn off Windows Firewall:
You should go to the upper right side of the screen. And then from the menu, you should hit on the Search feature. Here in the search dialog box, you should write: firewall without the quotes. Now, you should left hit on Windows Firewall icon. At this point, you should click on Turn Windows Firewall on or off option. Then in the next window, you should select Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended) option just to disable the firewall. At the end, you should left tap on the OK option to save the changes and then just check the issue is fixed or not.
