I didn’t fall for the Ebola scare, because I tuned into technical sources about Ebola and was able to put reports into a context the reports themselves lacked.

I don’t use Facebook; never have. I do use Google News as a news feed, but I have mental defenses raised against granting credibility to click-bait.

I am not, however, immune to divisiveness in my politics. I can’t help but rage at lies and spin, and lately, most of that is coming from the opposition.

Funny thing. You can’t guess my political orientation from that statement, because according to every point on the political spectrum, the other guys are lying and spinning.

Truth is a casualty of our advertising-centric world. That’s regrettable. I do look forward to seeing the author’s ideas for for combating that.
