Surreal realities by Diletta Pacifici: do I dream or am I awake?

Valentina Di Roma

Photographs between dream and reality by Diletta Pacifici, fantasy worlds in which it is difficult to distinguish what is true from what is imaginary.
And you managed to distinguish it?

For those among us who are big dreamers, sometimes reality is not enough. It can feel cramped as forcing you to stay down to earth, even in situations that we would like to be different.

Some have turned this attitude into an art form, creating photographs suspended between dream and truth.

Diletta Pacifici is from Fano, in the Marche region, and she is a jewelry designer. Her passion, however, are photography and editing with Photoshop.

In her images there are alternative realities that do not exist, in which daily life scenes come to life.

Images with simple lines, clean geometric shapes, vivid and bright colors. A minimalist style in which the editing is in addition, to give that surreal touch to the photos.

You have to sometimes think about the photographs titles to grasp its meaning, but it is a work of reflection that it’s worth it.

Thanks to these invented and combined location, we are catapulted into fantasy scenarios, where it is almost impossible to distinguish true, realistic and fictional.

But basically this is what we like: to dream of fantasy worlds, so incredible scenery that could please us if they really existed.

Imagination is the most powerful tool there is; just like the phrase with which Dorothy likes to present herself declares:

Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.
