Hello everyone! Welcome to the tutorial guide on how to sponsor a Game Node in the VIBE Ecosystem. In this tutorial you will learn how to sponsor a game node for the crypto fps game ‘VIBE OR DIE’. In addition to VIBE OR DIE, sponsoring Game Nodes will be a feature in future games built in the VIBE Ecosystem. Lets get started!
Step 1: What is ‘Sponsor a Game Node’?
Game Nodes are servers that run VIBE OR DIE (VOD) Gameplay. For each game node, fees are generated through VOD gameplay for every kill or death made. Users that sponsor a Game Node on VOD will earn 50% of the transactions fees generated on their Game Node.
Step 2: Create New Node
Once signed into VOD, Click the three dots and select Create New Node.
Important to note that you can also gain access directly on the VIBEHub website. Once on the main page, select Download Now under VIBE OR DIE and on the next screen select the Game Node tab. All data from VOD and the VIBEHub website are exactly the same and updated together in real-time.
Step 3: Customize your Game Node
Game Node Name- Choose the name of your Game Node
Select Currency- Choose the currency you want users to play with on your Game Node
Select Kill/Reward- Select the Game type for your VOD Node
Select Default Map- This will be the first map played when users play on your Game Node. It will also be the map shown in the UI for your Game Node in the lobby.
Select Game Mode- Select the format you want your game mode to be. Death Match or Team Death Match?
Select Max Players- Choose the amount of players that can join your Game Node at one time.
Select Region- Select the geographical location where you want your Game Node to be located.
Sponsorship Period- This is the amount of time your Game Node will be active.
Sponsorship Cost- The amount to sponsor a Game Node
Blue Print- This shows you the total transactions needed to break even on your sponsorship.
Cost to sponsor Game Nodes can viewed through the calculator during the creation process. Current price to sponsor a Game Node is 15 VIBE per day.
Step 4: Monitor your Game Node
On the main VOD screen, each Game Node will show the volume and revenue. These amounts will show you how much your Game Node is making. To receive your sponsorship reward, your VIBENet Virtual Wallet will be automatically funded as fees are generated on your Game Node as described in Section 1.
Important to note that the main VOD screen for displaying Game Nodes is prioritized to show the Game Nodes with the most users on them. If no users are on your game node, you may have to adjust the records per page at the bottom of your screen to access your Game Node.
