The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale

The beauty about great cities is that one can find pearls of wisdom in street corners. For me it was in Churchgate, the southern most train stop in Mumbai where I bought this book for a $1 or so in a street corner (at least in those days). I read this 1952 classic by a priest when I was a teen and the lessons are still legit as follows: —

- Believe in yourself and everything you do

- Have goals and develop the power to achieve them

- Mind is a monkey- break the worry habit and stay happy

- Improve your personal and professional relationships

- Assume control over your life — Be kind to yourself

Note: Have a copy of this book handy and when you are down and out, leaf through few pages and you will be ready for every day — Monday or Friday!

Book 7: Must Buy and Must Read
