They have since noticed an increase in their monthly subscriber base for their main VR product. Month to month they’re noticing a 30% growth. That figure alone shows the impact the porn industry has on virtual reality.
In addition, a New York adult entertainment VR company, BaDoinkVR, also noticed a spike in subscribers in the past year. The CEO, Todd Glider says subscriber counts increased 1,000 percent. That’s a significant boost.
It’s not too surprising really when you consider the difference of quality and the experience itself when considering 2D porn and VR porn. Users would much rather have immersive experiences which VR porn can provide versus regular, 2D porn. This new technology will have an impact on my industries but it’s hard to ignore the impact it’s having on the adult entertainment industry.
