Proposal: VIP-4 was submitted to Snapshot on 25th of April which proposed the migration of Vabble and VAB to the Base Network blockchain, moving away from Polygon. You can view the proposal here. Within 4 hours, the proposal hit the minimum quorum of 50M VAB to pass and has continued to receive more VAB in favor of the migration.
The overall feedback from the community has been extremely positive and we are delighted to share even further details with you on the timeline and process of this migration.
Vabble Platform Launch
The Vabble platform will launch on the Base Network instead of Polygon with an Ethereum pair. Our contracts have already been deployed to the Base Network testnet as of Monday April 29th. The platform mainnet launch date is TBD but we know it will be a simultaneous launch for staking (relaunch) and governance in May and will not affect our current milestone of full launch by end of Q2 (End of June).
Changes to the VAB Token.
The VAB token will be minted on Base Network on a 1:1 total supply, which means 1,456,250,000 tokens will be minted on the Base Network. The contract for the new token has not yet been deployed. No other changes will be made to the token at this time. If any further changes do occur, we will make all community members aware of such changes.
Airdrop Details
All holders of the VAB token will be airdropped 1:1 of their current holdings, this includes VAB token holders on Ethereum, Polygon, Bitmart, and all staking wallets. The Base Network is available on all WEB3 wallets, including Metamask. If you do not know how to add Base Network to Metamask, please use the following resource to learn how: Adding Base to Metamask
Note: You will need Base Network in order to access your VAB token on Base and to use the Vabble products going forward.
The Snapshot:
On May 24th at approximately 1PM UTC, the Vabble Core Development team will complete a Snapshot of all holders of the VAB token on Ethereum, Polygon, Bitmart Hot Wallets, and all staking wallets.
We do not recommend for users to make any purchases of the VAB token after this time as your wallet will not be included in the airdrop and your token purchase will be greatly affected by the liquidity migration.
NOTE: As a VAB holder or platform user, you will not have to do anything aside from add the Base Network to your WEB3 wallet.
Liquidity Migration
Liquidity will be removed from the Ethereum and Polygon pairs on Uniswap, Quickswap, and trading will be halted on Bitmart. Liquidity will be re-deployed on the new Base pair on Uniswap and trading on Bitmart will resume sometime shortly after the snapshot.
