Terrific article, Heidi!

Smart, funny, informative and hitting the nail on the head. I couldn’t agree more.

Although I have my specific tastes (like anybody else), I never used them as “filters” or “shields”; instead I focused on the person I met, on how wonderful she was, or how good we felt together.

I began dating a woman I found physically non-attractive at all (a no-no for most people, I think), because we both loved each other minds. But the intimacy and chemistry were so good, we not only became hot lovers, but we created the best relationship we ever had.

Yes, it’s ok to have preferences, and it’s good to know them. But never let them stand in your way towards real life :-)
