Discipline is a key part of children’s development in the preschool stage since it educates them by managing in a very basic way the responsibility, self-control, and rules that they must internalize from a very early age in order to outline the concepts of respect, not only towards themselves but also towards others. This stage represents the foundation of adult formation, assimilating information quickly while the brain establishes connections that will last a lifetime.

Discipline is a learning process, and not a synonym for punishment, which is considered to be the process of civilizing the child.
