100 days to make a difference. 100 days to #TakeBack12.
505 days ago, I announced my candidacy.
416 days ago, we kicked off this campaign.
145 days ago, I officially became your Democratic nominee for Congress in District 12.
And today, today, we stand 100 days from Election Day.
In 100 days, we have the power to change this country for the better. We have the power to elect representatives who understand the needs of their voters, who care about the people they serve, and who are willing to fight for what’s right. We have the power to stand up for our democratic values, and we have the power to usher in a new chapter for our great nation.
But to do that, it’s going to take all of us. It’s going to take time. It’s going to take dedication. It’s going to take hard work, and it’s going to take sacrifice. In these next 100 days, we all have a role to play. I am asking you to join me in doing your part because your voice has power, and every action, no matter how small, can make a tremendous difference.
Talk to your family members, neighbors, and friends. Encourage them to vote. Tell them why this election matters. Tell them what their vote means to you. Register voters. Make phone calls. Knock on doors. Donate any amount you can. Attend town halls. Share on social media. Spread the word. Commit to drive voters to the polls. Show up. Speak out. Vote. Together, we can do this.
505 days ago, when I started on this journey, I was told it was impossible and not worth the sacrifice, but I knew then, as strongly as I do now, that we would prove the nay-sayers were wrong. And every single day on this campaign, you have proven me correct. You have shown up in the cold, in the rain, in the hail, and in the heat. You have opened your homes and given of your time and treasure. You have turned out when we’ve needed you the most, and when we’ve asked for help, you’ve jumped in.
But most importantly, you’ve kept me going. Through the sleepless nights, the non-stop days, and the time away from my family, you have inspired me with your stories, your commitment, and your strength. You have reminded me, over and over again, that this fight is worth it, and that this fight matters. So now I’m asking you once more, to jump in, dig in, and give this everything you’ve got because everything we hold dear is on the line.
Because 100 days from now, we go to the polls. 100 days from now, we cross that finish line, and 100 days from now, we #TakeBack12.
This is it. Let’s make it count.
