My lungs fill with fluid. Gasping at air with no reason to do it. I blew it. I knew it would only leave the taste of blood in my mouth. This flood that we’ve doused our cities in; we’re clensing them. Gentrification is the god we’re worshipping. Give me a moment while i throw away this breath. Hack it up. Flip the cup. Pretend that this night is all you know of love. The trouble is my love is too quick and we are all left choking to death; the sound of gurgling not breath as you pound on your chest just for a hint of relief but you’re bogged down in your grief of being the theif who stole my integrity or did i give it away
