How To Add Velas Network To MetaMask, How To Bridge & Stake $VLXPAD

Today we will go over the steps on how to add Velas Network to MetaMask. We will also provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to bridge VelasPad ($VLXPAD).
And if you’re a lucky holder of VLXPAD and love the idea of passive income, in this article you will also find instructions on how to stake your $VLXPAD for prosperous rewards in return. Let’s get to it!
How To Add Velas Network To MetaMask
For this, we’ll assume that you already have MetaMask installed. Velas Network can be added in two ways.
Option 1: Automatic
For a super easy way to do this go to https://tokenmagic.app/#/ and click on ‘Add’ next to the network as below.
Option 2: Manual
Please follow the steps below to manually add the Velas Network to your MetaMask.
Step 1: Go to your MetaMask, and click on the Account button as below.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Settings’ button, then click on ‘Networks’.
Step 3: Once in there, you will see your current networks available, and to add a new one you need to click on the ‘Add Network’ button.
Step 4: In the new popup tab enter the following details and then hit ‘Save’.
- Network Name: Velas Network
- New RPC URL: https://mainnet.velas.com/rpc
- Chain ID: 106
- Currency Symbol: VLX
- Block Explorer URL: https://evmexplorer.velas.com
That’s it!!! You’re all set now. Easy right?
How To Bridge VelasPad ($VLXPAD) Directly From Your MetaMask Wallet
Bridging VLXPAD tokens is just as easy and can be done within a matter of minutes!
Step 1: Visit https://bridge.velaspad.io/ and click on the ‘Connect Wallet’ button. Here, you have the option to bridge between three blockchain networks: Ethereum, BSC and Velas Network.
Step 2: For this example, I’ll bridge VLXPAD from BSC (BEP20) to Velas Network (VRC20). After connecting to your MetaMask wallet you will see something similar to below.
To initiate the bridge, you can either type the amount you want to bridge or click on the ‘Max’ button, then press the ‘Swap’ button.
Step 3: A popup window will appear asking you to confirm the amount you want to bridge. If everything looks fine, then press ‘ Confirm’.
Step 4: Next you need to approve two transactions. To do this press the ‘Approve’ button. This will open a popup window in your MetaMask wallet which you also need to approve.
Step 5: Next, confirm the final transaction and click on the ‘Submit’ button. A new popup window will appear showing that the swap has been submitted, similar to below.
When this is done you will see the confirmation window similar to below, and that’s it!!! All done.
How To Stake VelasPad ($VLXPAD) Directly From Your MetaMask Wallet
VelasPad holders are now able to stake their tokens from their MetaMask wallets. In this example, we are staking $VLXPAD tokens from the Velas Network.
Please note, staking is not yet available from the BSC network, only Ethereum and Velas network.
Step 1: Visit https://app.velaspad.io/staking and connect your wallet. You will then be able to see your wallet being connected as below. To continue, tick the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and press ‘Next’.
Step 2: Type the amount you want to stake and press ‘Next’. You could also use the ‘Max’ button.
Step 3: Now, you need to confirm the transactions. Press the ‘Next’ button and then confirm again in MetaMask.
Step 4: Once both transactions are confirmed, you will then be able to see the confirmation window as below.
Congratulations ☆彡 you are now fully setup to make the most of the Velas Network, bridge your tokens across major networks (i.e. Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Velas), as well as stake your $VLXPAD tokens for high APY.
