Congratulations to the winners of the Dev Bounty and thanks to everyone who donated and left reviews!

The Dev Bounty contest is finally over, and we are thrilled to announce the entries that have received grants from Waves Labs. It became apparent that the DAO community is very skillful at recommending the best projects with their donations, as the entries with the most donations were given the largest grants.

The first batch of grants distributed via the DAO, with a total value of 10000 WAVES, has been sent to 9 projects.

Gomoku by bodrych — 1000 WAVES

Gomoku Logo

Description: Gomoku, also called Five in a Row, is a popular abstract strategy board game.

Grant-maker review: This has been the most well received proposal on the Dev Bounty. We are eager to see it submitted to dAppOcean.

Cryptopolis by Gorbunov — 1200 WAVES

Description: A blockchain game based on Waves smart contracts.

Grant-maker review: One of the best proposals on the DAO with multiple UI mockups, a video presentation, and a great attention to details.

Cruction — Crypto Auction by Shebin — 1000 WAVES

Description: An Auction System, where Supplier can auction and each user can submit a bid. The highest bid will be approved. And after the transaction is complete, the buyer and the seller can rate each other. The buyer can also write a review.

Grant-maker review: Interesting tool, potentially usable by other dApps. Very thorough presentation. The leader is a very active community member.

Mirrors by Sergey — 800 WAVES

Description: ‘Monopoly’ blockchain game with a smart account.

Grant-maker review: Thanks for the detailed proposal and activity in the chats. The prototype could be simplified.

Android Application of Coupon Bazaar by Suraj Kumar — 1000 WAVES

Description: Web3 coupon marketplace dApp with smart digital assets — coupons.

Grant-maker review: Glad to see the first mobile dApp for coupon marketplace!

Backgammon by dAppNinja — 1000 WAVES

Description: A p2p game with the ability to play with the opponent and win Waves.

Grant-maker review: A very experienced developer with working dApps under his belt. Very interesting to see how this game would work with crypto and blockchain.

Digital Art Auction by julia_dev_girl — 700 WAVES

Description: Digital art platform with auction feature that helps to sell their digital art as expensive as possible.

Grant-maker review: Interesting concept, great team, and a great article! We’d be happy to allocate more funds but there is not enough donations and reviews for this proposal.

RiskRide by hawky — 1500 WAVES

Description: A distributed risk management tool that allows to gather a realistic perspective of projects.

Grant-maker review: This could be the starting point for SaaS on the Waves blockchain. The funding target is adequate, but there is a lack of reviews and the proposal is not detailed enough. Hoping to see a working demo to support the project in the next iterations.

Oraclus by Inal Kardanov — 1000 WAVES

Description: Oraclus (oracles consensus) is a dApp to make real-world data decentralized by requesting data from oracles and rewarding them with tokens if they provide correct data

Grant-maker review: This concept can be crucial for the development of the entire dApp ecosystem. Hoping to see it launched soon.

Dear project leaders — it’s time to celebrate! Please check your DAO balance to verify the grant transfer. The grant-makers provided final reviews to your projects which can be helpful to determine where to go next. Note that not every project received the total amount of the demanded grant — to find the reason why, please refer to the final review in the grant-maker donation. It does not mean that the project will not be supported further, if it continues to be developed and shows substantial progress, the chances of new grants and support will increase significantly. We expect all nine winning projects and other new dApps on the dAppOcean.io and plan to hold a lot more contests in the future.

As you already know, donating on the DAO is financially rewarding. All those who took a risk, made the right prediction, and donated to the grant-receiving projects have received their donations back and a 50% bonus. Check your DAO balance and visit your profile to withdraw your reward, and thanks for participating in the first contest on the DAO.
