P2P Games dApp Contest
The newest contest on the DAO is dedicated almost exclusively to multiplayer p2p games based on RIDE. We would like to inspire developers to research old and new fascinating game designs and find creative solutions on how to decentralize their gameplay and reward system. In addition, considering that p2p games need multiple players, there is room for experimentation with referral mechanics where one user invites another one to play, helping the game to scale and get more popular. And of course, as with any gamedev contest, there are the familiar tasks of making it as fun as possible and user friendly, using Waves Keeper and other Waves technology. The final aim of this contest is to list your game prototype on dAppOcean.io to measure and track its usage activity and integrate it closely with the Waves ecosystem.
Join the contest and submit your proposal of a p2p game dApp inspired by one of the card or board games from the list below. The reward for a winner submission can go up to $2000 (paid in USD Neutrinos).
The game concepts to choose from are listed below. Most of them are based on deterministic core strategies, meaning that the outcomes of those games are dependent more on the behavior of players and their choices rather than chance, as it would be in roulette and dice.
