What’s going on in the VC world in Spain? Here is an update

So, first of, sorry all for the radio silence. As many of you know, we run Venture Watch Research for the fun and glory. The last few months have been quite busy and so we haven’t been able to stay on top of the game.
That’s only part of the story. Truth is, we’ve been working hard on the system that makes Venture Watch possible. While you might not see it, we’ve done a big effort to automate even more the previous version of our system, codename Horus.
Horus started as a small side project but we’ve come to relay so much on it that we decided to do a much needed upgrade. For starters, we moved part of the architecture to a new framework (if you’re a developer you know the drill). While we were at it, we’ve improved the information extraction capabilities of the system and fixed many annoying bugs.
Overall, the new system should let us be on top of the VC industry much faster than before. It will also enable us to expand the scope of Venture Watch to other countries. Our first goal is to tap into our neighbours and expand our tracking into Portugal. Hopefully once we’ve finished the new system, that would be a reality.
Stay tuned, the next report is on its way!
