A kiss on a pulse

Looking at her, he took her hand

With searching eyes, he spoke to her heart

A wordless claim living only in night

Forgetting elements of day-to-day life.

Still locked on her he turned her hand

And glanced to examine the memorized lines

Continuing to explore constellations therein

And marveling at the wonder of life.

Holding so gingerly this treasure adored

He slowly raised her hand to his face

Holding her eyes and their oceans with his

Placing lips so softly on skin

Where blood courses vitals through veins

And Archeus thrums to fiery life

As the world in awe so suddenly paused

For the halting breath she’s suddenly drawn.

Lost in wonder she reaches out

To touch the one who had given her flight

And breathlessly thank him for his art

As they sank into their pulses of light.
