Time. We can’t make anymore.

Before you switch off and switch tabs because you think I’m preaching about the impending apocalypse and how we all need to change, etc.,

I think this might be a little bit important.

Time is finite. Right? For the 10 seconds you’ve spent reading this post (thank you for staying) that’s 10 seconds that are gone. They are not coming back. Sorry.

Doesn’t this mean that how we spend our days- like our ‘normal’ time is quite important? How many snatches of 10 minutes do we spend scanning our social network feeds but not really taking anything in, but feeling like we’ve progressed somewhat in our knowledge of the world.

There is a lot going on in the world. Bad stuff. Good stuff. All mixed in together sometimes.

I do not want to look back on the last 5 years and think, ‘Oh yeah, all that social media, I really made an impact through scanning it through’.

Being connected is important, yes. But if we are not changed by what we read/watch/listen to, if it does not create action through us, then what is the point of it?

This is sounding very rambly……forgive me.

Maybe I can sum up this little post in one sentence. Here goes.

Do things that matter and don’t waste your time.
