Who we are

At Vesper, we’re powering the office of the future. We use a combination of experienced account managers and technology to make offices more efficient, cost-effective, and employee-focused. We are committed to giving our clients the time they need to focus on their businesses, while providing them with the peace of mind that comes with never having to worry about their offices again. We launched in New York in October 2015, and are backed by some of the best VCs and investors in the world.

We are former office admins, operations experts, and developers building the automated office of tomorrow.

How did we get here?

Let’s be honest, “office manager” is really a misnomer.

The majority of office managers juggle multiple roles across the internal operations stack. They are executive assistants, HR administrators, billing and accounting personnel, and culture curators. They’re already busy, and there’s always more their companies and teams want or need them to do. Most of the office managers we’ve talked to have a backlog of office tasks that they aren’t able to get to. They pile up week after week because other responsibilities take precedence, as they should.

At the same time, many newer or smaller companies don’t have the budget to hire an administrator to manage the actual running of the office. This leaves the CEO and/or the team itself to take care of ongoing office upkeep, which takes time and focus away from their actual roles.

Of course, making sure the office is running smoothly is crucial to employee happiness and productivity. We’ve been there, and we know that. But drawing on our experiences and the realities of running an office, we also know that spending hours managing inventory, coordinating vendors and events, or researching admin tasks can get in the way of both office managers who are spread too thin, and teams who have no one looking after their needs at all.

This means that talented people at companies everywhere are needlessly spending up to 20 hours a week on chores that simply aren’t unique to their offices. We talked to dozens of CEOs, COOs, operations directors, and office managers at companies large and small about how their offices are run. When we zoomed out of these conversations, we found that, as distinct as each office feels, the truth is, every office needs the same underlying TLC.

We believe there’s a better way to do this

The time it takes to upkeep a physical office is not the most valuable use of time for talented employees. It’s clear that office management itself doesn’t require a full-time, in-person job. We’re ushering in the future of office supervision where maintenance will be more automatic, and ongoing needs are met quietly in the background.

  1. Every Vesper client gets a dedicated account manager with 5+ years of office management experience in their industry, and provides a trusted, personal touch to our service.
