Notes of a Mexican anthropologist: Starting from zero — March 16th, 2024
Ok, this is a post that I didn’t intend to write; I was supposed to write and publish a new chapther of Mythological Notes in my mother language in a certain blog, and translate it later for its publication in the WordPress site. However, here I am, deciding to start again this space from scratch.
What the hell I’m going to publish here and, no less importantly, in which language? Because it seems for me that publishing in Spanish might not have the same impact as it would do in English, specially if we consider that most of its readers are English speakers.
My answer is: a little bit of everything.
Now I would like to introduce myself, if you don’t mind:
Hello! My name is Victoria, I’m a Mexican anthropologist specialized in Mayan mythology. I do write some stories, poetry, movie and book reviews, as well as some stuff related to literature, photography, art and mythology in some platforms (WordPress, Blurt, Steemit, Hive). I’m a sort of chaotic mess when it comes to organization, so I’m also in a sort of journey in the world of bullet journaling, as well as making profit in freelancing. I recently retook my YouTube channel, where I publish my pictures along with some music.
In short, a content creator with a very bad organization on times.
Welcome to this space where maybe you’ll find anything, from ranting to tips on fieldwork as an anthropologist. I hope you enjoy it and have a great day, whenever you are.
