#GTIdeology Rejoinder: Drama, Dysfunction, and Damaged Individuals

What was mainly in view framing this topic was the sort of person who is unable and/or unwilling to get along anywhere.

A governing principle of the Happy Hour discussions is that unless a definition is necessary to discussing the GTIdeology itself (and it was not), we do not define terms by our own definitions.

Beyond that definition, the dramatic troublemaker, I believe the vast majority of us are grappling with various forms and degrees of dysfunction, simply because we live in a society that quashes personhood.

The difference is that we want to get along. To find places where we fit. That’s a significant part of the reason that there is a Skolny Organization:

I mean that; and it goes to my biggest takeaway from last night’s discussion: Those dramatic, dysfunctional sorts damage not only work culture, they injure and damage other individuals who comprise the culture.

I began the week believing that an organization must be vigilant to identify, weed out, and protect itself from allowing those “Trojan Horses” as they were aptly called inside the gates. Particularly the Skolny Organization, as those sorts of people are antithetical to creating and encouraging Greatness through the Individual.

I still believe that. But even more so now because of the obligation we have to our members (starting with this one) not to be just another place where we put up with underminers. But a haven from it. Indeed, a place to work with our friends, profit, and have fun.

It goes directly to the 1st Radical Idea: The Organization must transcend society. Frankly, I’m a bit embarrassed I didn’t make the

A Vital Corollary

There was also a recurring theme, driven by Alan and Sabby, that we must never summarily dismiss or flippantly categorize any individual as “dysfunctional,” so to be weeded out without understanding that person and her or his issues, motives, and potential (per the 3rd Radical Idea).

As always, when dealing with individuals, the individual is the thing. It’s why we’re here.
