Feeling Brand New
We associate brand new with a feeling of ultimate goodness. You can age like fine wine and still feel brand new. There should be no limitations when it comes to going all out to feel awesome. We all like brand new things that are way better than old ones. Some are not open to new things especially when it doesn’t favor them even when it doesn’t necessarily affect what they do.
Many have an aversion to whatever might threaten their positions. They hold on to what they've got which is understandable. However, there should be some flexibility allowed. Moreover, nature is nature and things play out however they are meant to be. Generations come and go, bringing new advancements. So many great new things are made out of nothing.
Previously, I talked about how nice it is to meet your new self. I am always excited about that. I constantly look forward to a better me and I always savor the moment knowing that some manifestations take some level of commitment.
I feel brand new, rejuvenated, and happy. Grateful for the journey that led to my saying this. It is the first day of the second part of the year, gratitude is all I have. Positivity is one way to approach life for maximum growth and realization of whatever good awaits.
How do you react when someone meets you after a while and says, “You look or act differently?” I guess it depends on your progress. Do you like the new you based on some principles you follow in life? If yes, then smile and give “Oh yeah” as the answer. Go on and share the personal victories that brought you to that new space if you wish. The person might even get inspired.
This brand new me came after exercise, dropping some bad habits, choosing a new lifestyle, and allowing myself to mature. Brand new, as in, open to new opportunities. Brand new, as in, letting go of things I held on to dearly not knowing how much they weigh me down. The courage to attempt is worth all the lauds because one way or the other, things must always happen a certain way. Striving to make it better or the way you wish for it the much you can, makes a huge difference.
Most times, we measure achievement outwardly and quantitatively. Alas, those count also. But then, the little self-improvements are also worth gold. The payoff might not be immediate, but someday you will realize it. Feeling good knowing you got better is enough achievement in itself. The feeling of goodness we experience and don’t even share, those little wins we enjoy by ourselves can be special also.
You don’t always need someone else to approve of your inner pride. Do you wonder sometimes why some people glow, have a nice smile, and are relentlessly positive? Ask and maybe they say it’s nothing. I don’t know, it may be a slight transformation that doesn’t worth your interest, but mean the world to the person.
Self-rediscovery is something I urge everyone to try. Change they say is constant. It happens at different levels. What matters is being aware and paying attention because time flies. All things being equal, a said amount of time will come and pass. We don’t even have to go far with this analogy. Last minute just passed and it is not coming back.
Time can be part of an hour you devoted to something. It might be a particular minute in isolation. It might be time you spent relaxing or reading, which is also an activity anyway. What am saying is, something happened in the last minute: a growth or a decrease, breathing, looking at someone passing by, whatever, and this is even physically. At the cellular level, a lot more probably happened so yeah changes occur each time. Paying attention and mapping out a monitored change counts towards a big whole which if you care about becomes this brand new am talking about. I feel brand new. I want you to also feel the same no matter what you are passing through.
