Ice Hockey vs Bandy, what is the difference?

Both sports have the same ancient origins and are very similar since they are played on sheets of ice. While Hockey further developed in Canada, Bandy was more popular in England and other European countries. In fact, some places like Sweden, Finland, and Russia still call Bandy Hockey.

While Ice Hockey is played in a rink by 6 players, Bandy is heavily influenced by Football which was popular during the origin of the sport. As such, Bandy uses a soccer-length pitch that is 350ft long and 180ft wide. Bandy sticks are shorter.
