This is my first published ranking series of books. To provide some context, I’ve read about 50 books in 2018, most of which were memoir-based or self-development in nature. I record the start and finish date of each book, as well as take copious notes with page markers for referencing. Every month, I post about 3–5 books that I am reading. Feel free to follow along and share your feedback. It’s always welcome.

Tribe of Mentors by Tim Ferriss

Categories: Mentors, Self-Development, Entrepreneurship, Business, Life

Published: 2017

I owe much of my introduction to business — and eventually finance, health, and a slew of other topics to Tim Ferriss. One of the first business/productivity books I ever purchased was “The 4 Hour Work Week” by Tim Ferriss back in 2007. I was fresh out of high school with a penchant for business. ⁣

⁣I applied quite a bit of his teachings to my personal and professional life and received above average results. That’s when his stock skyrocketed with me. There are SO many books/authors that are manipulative and dole out terrible advice. I knew I found someone I could look up to in Tim, and 6 books later, the advice is better than ever. ⁣

⁣This is his latest one, and like the front cover says, it’s a collection of life advice from the best in the world. ⁣

⁣Imagine being able to pick the brains of 130 of the world’s best — icons such as Steve Case, Linda Rottenberg, Larry King, Kyle Maynard, Temple Grandin, Brian Koppelman, Nick Szabo, Marc Benioff, Samin Nosrat, Steve Aoki and MANY MORE.

This is EXACTLY the type of book I love reading, and it’s been the blueprint to my life for the last year. It’s introduced me to many other authors, and without it, five out of my top ten books of 2018 would not be here. ⁣

⁣The advice is simplified and actionable, and I could not recommend this book enough. Get it here and jumpstart the path to changing/enhancing your life for the better.
