Both Kohli and Kumble read the game really well and this duo is expected to take the Indian Team to great heights. Fortunately, the duo has already started doing wonders for India. This can be said as team India won the 1st test match against West Indies by an innings and 92 runs. This match was also Kumble’s 1st match as India head coach.

During his playing days Kumble was known for his attitude of never giving up and always wanting to win. And this is exactly what even Kohli is known for. Them together will be a huge boost for the team. Especially considering the fact that this is a young team playing in an era where just winning is what any team desires.

Kohli, himself has mentioned in a press conference that Kumble is th eideal coach for any team. According to Kohli, Kumble provides help to every member of the team for every department of the game. In addition, he also makes sure that he has a good relationship with all players and that all players have a good relationship with each other. Not only this but Kumble also ensures that the players don’t get to stressed by the pressure of winning or performing well. To prevent the players getting under pressure, Kumble held a yoga and music/dance session for all of them. This was done just so that the players calm down and enjoy with each other.

Kumble’s contract as head coach of team India is going to last for just a year. However, if India is successful in achieving greatness under his guidance his contract may be extended.
