Before? We simply used the restroom that conformed to how we dressed, acted, and presented. I have never ever been challenged in the ladies room by anyone.
Sometime mothers will bring their children into the ladies room with them. I suppose under the new law, a male child has to wait outside by himself or with someone older to watch over the kid if he is very young, though I still see them take the kids along. No other women in the women’s room as far as I have ever seen have demanded the children leave. Do dads take their young daughters into the men’s room when they have charge over the brood?
I am not sure what the purpose of these laws is? LGB people use the bathrooms per their cis birth assignment all the time and no laws as far as I know are contemplated to set up gay-only “bathrooms.”
Speaking for myself my mother was very worried about me going into the men’s room where there were sexual predators who like cute, angelic, fay, little boys.
But I suppose that’s not worthy of any laws.
