I agree about the luck. Out of however many people who were trans, very few could transition medically to the fullest extent possible, meaning HRT and bottom work. Likely by 1980 less that 1,000 people had gotten MTF bottom surgery in the North America and Europe. By 1999 when a rigorous study was conducted of all the surgeons, the tally was between 15,500 and 18,800 world wide. Since the turn of this century because more surgical centers have opened, that number likely has doubled or even tripled, but is still rather small. Waiting lists are long — up to two or three years. Today I would go to Thailand
