Been there, done that. Was in a relationship with a wonderful girl, and would tell her that if I married anyone other than her, it was a compromise.

Then we parted ways because she and I changed. And we didn’t get married. Today, I believe that if I marry even her, it is a compromise. Because she is not the person whom I had fallen in love with.
