There are negative externalities that would affect the entire cryptocurrency/blockchain/crowdfunding world, not just the DTH holders. If the SEC (for example) brings enforcement action against the parties involved, or sets stronger regulation as a result of the DAO fiasco, then this will affect a lot of companies in the space. A lot of companies in the space are already being affected by this event, as people are now distrustful of smart contracts and of Ethereum generally speaking.

Note also that no one is going to be made wholebecause the price of ETH is much lower than during the DAO’s creation and entire period leading up to the DAOnfall.
