Travels: Vienna

Stating the obvious here but Vienna is a magnificent city! I only had seven hours there and here’s what I did and what I saw during that period of time.

First things first, I went to get my breakfast at a great place called Swing Kitchen which offers lots of delicious vegetarian dishes.

After that, I needed some caffeine and went to a third-wave coffee shop called Kaffemik. They serve delicious flat white. The place itself is really nice.

Then, it was time to go sightseeing. I tried to see as much as possible in those seven hours. My primary choice was the Schönbrunn Palace, of course. Oh, it’s impressive. A few hours is simply not enough. One needs to spend the whole day there.

I love zoos and the Schönbrunn Zoo is luckily right around the corner. Make sure you have enough time for this activity as the zoo is really great.

What I’m also really interested in is contemporary art. MUMOK is the best place to get impressed. Two words: worth visiting. You are gonna have your mind blown.

I had some time left which is why I decided to go take a look at the Parlament and Rathaus. The architecture is stunning.

Finally, I went to see Hundertwasserhaus which is a unique piece of architecure, an impressive building and that kind of thing which one should see at least once in their life.

Vienna seemed to be both vibrant and relaxed. No one’s in a rush which is a great thing. A city to come back to.
