Theaters

From the very beginning I can admit that I don’t go to theater very often. It doesn’t mean that I don’t like this form of art. Conversely, I love it a lot and I genuinely admire actors and actresses who can transfer you to a different period of time, who can cause emotions and make you cry or laugh (or even both at the same time).

I believe that every performance has its own idea and after you watch it you can think it through and come up with the conclusion. Every performance (no matter that genre it is) is a lesson, a lesson of life.

As I’ve already mentioned I go to theater rarely and I guess that the total number of my visits to this place will be no more than fifteen. And, to be perfectly frank, among these fifteen there is only one that I remember perfectly. As for the others, (a shame on me) I won’t be able to recall their titles. Yeah, I’ve watched them but I don’t remember what was going on, what was the main idea. However, that one… The story with it is completely different.

It happened when I was in the eleventh grade. One time my classmates and I decided to go to the educational theater that is located on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya street. This theater is special because all the plays in it are performed by junior and senior students who only study to be professional actors.

Well, it won’t be an overstate to say that it was the best play I’ve even seen! I was SO impressed, I can’t even describe it!

The play was called “Завтра была война» and in the end of it all my classmates, even boys, couldn’t help it but burst into tears.

Even though they were students they performed their parts incredibly! During the play we completely forgot about the reality. It seemed that we lived in that time, we were that students who had to change their lives with the begging of the war.

Actually, the play took place in a small hall with a tiny stage but we didn’t pay any attention to it. We were hypnotized! The story itself was so deep, so touchy…

None of us said a word even when everything was over – we were under such a huge impression! More than that, we had lots of things to think about. The actors made us to analyze our lives and reminded us how important it is to appreciate what we have.

After that play I went to the Comedy and Drama theaters but nothing touched me as hard as that one. This is that I call a lasting impression! Even now when I think of it I get goose bumps on my arms😅

I wish every play were like this!
