I read your piece yesterday about rape & the silence of men contributing to the “rape culture” it really hit home. I was gonna write a response yesterday on it based on my concern for my daughters, wife, sister, nieces……etc, but I became sidetracked. Later it occurred to me that this is exactly the problem with men on this issue, that it shouldn’t have to hit home to the people we love before you’ll hear our voices. That old saying about “if your not part of the solution, then you’re part of the problem” has never been truer on this issue. I was never raped or participated in a rape, but I was truly moved by your story, unfortunately you had to go through those despicable acts. Thank you so much for sharing & opening up my eyes!
