In the case of Temporary Mark — what you see is what you get with their rugged, brutally developed website & branding package. Its no-nonsense & screaming individualism, pioneering a structured, clear and decisive norm-core brand ethos.

TM are a Moscow based fashion label who have meticulously designed their collection with 3 clear clothing lines or “stories” in mind: Progress, Safety & Balance. All of which tell their own story with their own unique colour scheme and items.

Developing our design came about almost instantaneously. Once we had sat down and spoke with the team at TM about their creations and motivations, our idea of how we wanted to construct TM’s website and brand identity had become clear.

From this, it had led us directly towards creating a simple, navigational home page, which teased out all of their look book photos whilst scrolling and hovering over those 3 important words — Safety, Progress, Balance.

Brutal is the word that is most consistent with our productions here. Just like TM’s cleverly thought out colour schemes and clothing, we knew we had to take this further and develop a functional, yet charismatic design set that would aid in helping users navigate throughout the website, as well as playing an important role in UX.

Our typography is centred around Arial, which feels super neutral and in line with the brands overall “modern uniform” approach, symbolising ordinary — but in a not so ordinary way.

The colours of the website are dictated by TM’s clothing line colours. It’s an important link we feel, and one that perfectly compliments the websites stripped back and punchy layout.

As you click between each section of the website, the icons and buttons also interact with these colours, keeping you focused and in tune of where you are.

Normally, with websites that feature such brutal aspects, they can often feel clunky and remain extremely static — but we wanted to go somewhere that we haven’t been before with this type of design set. So, we went ahead and added completely random 3D environment that has been placed within the About page of TM’s website. This type of “easter egg” appears once you first land on this page (later, more 3D models appear and morph).

These act like symbols for TM’s stories, all of which will load randomly here. Random and a little crazy, but it acts as a metaphor for TM’s forward thinking imagination.

So, if you reload this page you can play with all of them. Feel free to click, drag & scroll over these objects for a range of visual feedbacks on your screen.

Our e-store development was focused on making it differ from other e-stores that we so commonly have come to known, yet it needed to be functional, handy and easy to use.

We decided to place TM’s look-book photos + item lists of each story within one page. The horizontal drag effect for e-commerce purposes on both desktop and mobile versions is extremely fun to use within this type of layout.

Website

Temporary Mark’s distinct choice in colour, direction and idealism of their carefully designed clothing lines breathe fresh air and strikes a line through the demands of modern fashion. We like to think our work behind their website and branding compliments this, helping the world buy into their forward thinking nature.
