Where the blog stops, for now
The blog stops at the point I’ve been able to catch up to, roughly mid-April 2017. The “adventures in self-publishing” starts roughly May 2015 when I decided to self-publish, and walks through all the various steps, decisions, problems, even joys, along the way to print, trying to illustrate a particular path in self-publishing, one that involves going through the same steps as at a traditional publishing house. I’ve come to the last post—being on the verge of publication only to realize I’d forgotten many things, and that much of what I had done really amounts to busywork: kept me busy, but does almost nothing to get word of my book’s publication out. So this last post describes when I’m realizing my mistakes, and am trying to rectify them as the book is being published anyway. So much of my real work starts after publication with the implimentation of a new approach to using social media and the various other tools available to us. Next week, I talk about the book being publishing while I’m completely illprepared, and how I’m righting the ship, as it were.
